Navigating through the specifics of health insurance benefits and waiting periods can significantly impact how and when you access your healthcare services. At Bastion Health, we've designed our plans with transparency in mind, ensuring you know exactly what to expect from your health coverage.
Individual/Family Plans
Upon choosing an Individual/Family plan, a brief 2-week waiting period is required for payment confirmation and the processing of your policy documents. Following this period, certain benefits have graded access:
- Chronic illnesses, related diseases, surgeries, and cancer care come with a 9-month waiting period.
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology services, including antenatal, delivery, and post-natal care, have a 12-month waiting period.
Seniors’ Plans
Seniors’ plan holders enjoy immediate access to care, with specific benefits subject to graded access:
- A 5-month waiting period for all surgeries.
- Cancer care and Renal Dialysis are subject to a 10-month waiting period.
- Spa benefits and Chemistry/Health Checks come with a 9-month and a 3-month waiting period, respectively.
SME Plans
SME plan enrolees have immediate access to care post-premium payment, with certain benefits having waiting periods:
- A 6-month waiting period applies to chronic illness, related diseases, surgeries, and cancer care.
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology services have a 9-month waiting period.
Corporate Plans
Employees covered under Corporate Plans gain immediate access to care following premium payment, with all benefits available from the start.
A 7-day grace period post-policy expiration is provided for renewals. For Individual/Family, Seniors' & SME Plans with applicable waiting periods, failing to renew within this timeframe resets your benefits coverage.
Understanding these waiting periods helps in planning your healthcare journey effectively, ensuring you're covered when you need it most. For more detailed information on the benefits and waiting periods specific to your plan, please visit our website or reach out to our Support team.
